What Makes a Website Good?This is the big question. There are many factors that contribute to a successful website but the most important thing is user experience. When we design a website these are some things we consider during construction: Who is your target market? Once they finally make it to your site are they able to understand the site? They not only need to easily understand your website but need to identify that your site is where they need to be and they need to identify that instantly. If they can't figure out why they are at your website they will quickly leave and find an easier to understand site. In most markets there is huge competition, if your visitor doesn't know how your site can help them, they will find your competitor. Is your site unique or does it look like a duplicate of another site with other websites ad's all over it. Your site needs to be unique in order to be distinguished from everyone else. Did your visitors have a good experience while on your site? Was your site easy to use or was it difficult? A customer would rather use a simple site and be able to get the information they need fast than be on a complicated site with flash or unnecessary coding. |
